Thank You Sponsors Of Our Christmas Dinner!
It is important to us at Turning Leaf Community Support Services to share the holidays with our participants. Every year during the holidays, we provide them with a traditional family Christmas dinner and share in the joy of the season with them. For many of our participants, Turning Leaf is the only family they have, so they really look forward to our participant events.
This year, we celebrated on December 14, hosting a Christmas dinner for 260 people living with intellectual challenges and mental illness. At this dinner, we also handed out hampers, took photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and enjoyed fabulous live music!
We asked some of our participants to share their Christmas wishes with us, and some agreed to take a photo so they could share them with you. The photos are in the video above and in the photo gallery below. Enjoy!
We are very grateful to the sponsors, donors, and volunteers who enabled us to host a wonderful traditional Christmas dinner event! Our staff was very busy collecting gifts-in-kind such as turkeys and other traditional holiday food, as well as sweets, gifts, and especially money.
We are always in need of donations to fund our various programs as well as gifts-in-kind such as clothing, household items, hygiene items, and warm outerwear. We are grateful for any donation, and we invest 100% of donations directly into improving our programs and services.
