Land ACKNOWLEDGeMENT

We acknowledge and respect that the lands on which we gather are the traditional lands of Treaty 1 and Treaty 2, the original lands of the Anishinaabe, Anisininew, Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples, Treaty 5, the original lands of Opaskwayak Cree Nation, the Anisininew, Cree and Dene peoples, and Treaty 4, the original lands of the Cree, Saulteaux, Dakota, Nakota, and Lakota peoples, all of which are the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. We acknowledge that northern Manitoba and Saskatchewan include lands that were and are the ancestral lands of the Inuit. We respect the original intent of the Treaties that were made on these territories, we acknowledge the harms of the past and the resulting intergenerational trauma, and we dedicate ourselves to moving forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in the spirit of truth and reconciliation.

ABOUT US

We are a non-profit, charitable organization that provides person-centered, crisis and treatment services to low and high-risk vulnerable and marginalized individuals living with mental illness and intellectual challenge in our community.

WHO WE SUPPORT

The participants of our programs are often deeply impacted by their circumstances which can become barriers to living safely and independently in the community. Trauma, homelessness, poverty, addictions, discrimination, sexual exploitation, societal stigmas, and lack of access to resources are some of the barriers our participants face every day.
